Today, we come to the conclusion of Stephen’s message to the leaders in Israel. His call to repent is met with fierce anger and a hail of stones. In Acts 7:51-60 we are given a glimpse, with Stephen, to see the risen and ascended Christ who is our judge, intercessor and advocate.

The Magnificat - Luke 1:46-55

We begin our Advent series, this focusing on the songs in Luke. For many, the Christmas season is about music and for Luke, there are a series of songs, from Mary’s Magnifcat (magnify), Zechariah’s Benedictus (blessed), Angel’s Gloria (glory), Shepherd’s Praise, and Simeon’s Nunc Dimittis (now dismiss). This morning we begin with Mary’s song of praise (Luke 1:39-56), as she magnifies the Lord by confessing her need of His provision, power, and promises.

The Resurrection and Working Hard | 1 Corinthians 15:1-10

We welcome our new Interim Pastor, Jamie MacGregor to Cornerstone.  It's Labor Day weekend and in some ways this holiday reminds of heaven -- when we have a final rest from all our earthly labor. What are we to do, though, until that final day? 1 Corinthians 15 says we are to labor with all of God's strength until that day arrives.
