Revelation 2:1-7 - The Dozer or the Tree

In the early parts of the book of Revelation we find 7 letters from Jesus to 7 first century churches in Asia Minor. These letters offer us insights into what Jesus finds to be so critical in the life of his people as they stand as witnesses in the midst of a pagan culture. Revelation 2:1-7 is the first of these letters, and Jesus takes on an issue so critical that if it isn’t remedied, the church risks being totally shut down: the issue of love.

Revelation 5:1-14 - Responding with Worship

In this sermon, Rev. Chris Vogel continues our series looking at Cornerstone’s Vision Statement. Through the lens of various Scriptures we will examine what we consider our main calling as a church. This week we will look at Revelation 5:1-14 where we see God calls people to Cornerstone to respond to God’s call with worship which has Christ as the central focus. In this passage, John is given a glimpse into heaven to see the worship of the Lamb who was slain whereby he knows the gracious control God extends throughout His creation.
