Jesus continues his defense, calling to witness the testimony of John the Baptizer, His own works and words and finally the testimony of Scripture. Despite all that is put before them, the people will not believe. Although people may go to God’s Word for help and hope, if they do not see Christ in them, they will not have eternal life.
