In this sermon, Rev. Chris Vogel begins a five-week series looking at Cornerstone’s Vision Statement. Through the lens of various Scriptures we will examine what we consider our main calling as a church. This week we will look at Hebrews 6:13-20, where we are encouraged to hold fast to the hope set before us. God’s promise and oath serve as our assurance that Jesus, as our High Priest, secures our position before God. This passage, flowing out of God’s calling of Abraham in Genesis 12, 15, 17 and 22 reminds us that it is God who calls us today, a calling that is not just personal, but into a family, which for us is most immediately experienced here at Cornerstone.
