Jesus makes it clear that the faith to consume Christ is a faith that comes from the Spirit and is granted by the Father. This truth calls for a response, as seen by Peter’s words, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”
